Frequently Asked Questions

We offer several different sizes of arrangements: Petite, Compact, Standard, Deluxe, Premium, and the VIP. In general, increasing the price of an arrangement impacts the vase size and the amount of flowers we use. We only source local premium flowers, never any traditional fillers (carnations, mums, babies breath for example), regardless of size.
Petite: A small gesture that’s perfect for a bedside table or a desk.
Compact: Slightly larger than the petite that is also well suited for a desk or as a small centerpiece.
Standard: An excellent choice for a kitchen table centerpiece or coffee table. It is full without being overly large.
Deluxe: Beautiful option for a fuller centerpiece that makes more of a statement.
Premium: A great gift for a special occasion or particularly eye-catching centerpiece.
VIP: Overflowing with blooms! The best of the best, for when only over-the-top will do.

Everything we do is custom made. This allows us to best match our customers’ needs and use the freshest blooms possible.
Unfortunately, this means we don’t stock any pre-made arrangements or planters in the shop. You can place your order online, by calling the shop, or sending us an email. We’d love to put something special together just for you.

All of our flowers are from small farms located in Santa Cruz and Monterey County. Our plants and orchids come from local growers as well. We pride ourselves on using all local blooms. Not only are you supporting these small businesses, but your flowers will be the absolute freshest - often times harvested the same day.
-
Because our flowers are locally sourced, our selection varies by season. This means that we cannot guarantee we’ll have certain flowers in on any given day. For an idea of what we have been getting in, call the shop and our team will walk you through our current flower selection. If you have any special requests, please let us know and we’ll try our best to accommodate.

We’re open Monday through Friday; therefore we only offer weekday delivery. We don’t deliver Saturday or Sunday with the exception of larger events. If you need something over the weekend, we suggest having it delivered Friday. The flowers will be fresh and lovely for the weekend and beyond.

Yes, we do offer same-day delivery at no extra cost. Just be sure to place your order before 12 pm PST. If you’ve missed the cut-off time, give us a call, there’s always a chance we can still help! If you’re ordering a VIP-sized arrangement (or something even larger) we do ask that you order at least one day ahead of time. This allows us to source exactly the right flowers for your show-stopping arrangement, and take our time in creating it.
-
Your order should arrive to your recipient between approximately 12 - 6 pm. Please note that it may sometimes arrive earlier or later than that. Unfortunately we’re not able to guarantee a time that it will arrive.
You will receive a confirmation email that your order is out for delivery if you place your order via our website. If you placed a phone order, you’re more than welcome to give our shop a call and check in on the status of your order. We know it can be nerve-wracking waiting for your flowers to arrive, and we’re more than happy to give you updates.
-
Our flower selection changes daily. We’ll always match the colors and general style to what you ordered, but the specific flowers used may be different. We will always choose the prettiest and freshest premium blooms available (we do not use cheap “filler” flowers such as carnations or babies breath). If there is a design element that is important for us to include, we ask that you make a note in the “delivery instructions and special requests” box at checkout.

Unfortunately, not at this time. It can overwhelm our little studio, so it’s not a service we offer. To see examples of our most recent work, please visit our instagram page: @bellajardinflorals

Your flowers will be happiest in a spot that’s not in direct sunlight and away from heat. We suggest that you change the water every day or two and give the end of the stems a small snip as well. On occasion, some blooms may wilt before others. Simply removing these will help keep the rest of the arrangement looking fresh and beautiful.

We’re more of a working floral studio than we are a retail shop at the moment. If you’d like to stop by our location in Carmel-by-the-Sea, give us a call and we’ll set up a time that works! We’d love to say hi. We also offer same-day pickup at our Carmel studio; if picking up your flowers instead of having them delivered would work better for you, give us a call and we’ll set that up! We’re located in Barnyard Shopping Village, directly underneath the beautiful windmill.
